We know that a lot of people have anxiety, but that doesn’t mean we should ignore it. According to the National Institutes of Mental Health, nearly 30 percent of people experience anxiety in some form or another. That figure is much higher than the number who suffer from depression, bipolar disorder, or any other mental illness.
It used to be that anxiety attacks were attributed to things like a divorce, a job change, or a change in the weather. Nowadays there’s talk of a “condition” for people to get these anxiety attacks. Some say these “attacks” are a side effect of medications or treatment, while others point out that when a person experiences a “depressed mood,” they’re not really depressed, they’re just having an anxiety attack.
The fact is that theres no way we can stop these attacks and we know there are other mental health problems out there. Theres no way we get them in the system. Theres no way we can stop them.
When your body starts to feel weak and lethargic, you may experience these symptoms. And it can be a lot more physical than a mental anxiety attack. You may experience a loss of appetite and feel tired, but there is no way to explain that to a doctor.
The best thing you can do is not panic. The worst thing you can do is take drugs. It’s actually a lot more simple than that.
Most people that are prescribed antidepressants or anti-anxiety meds just take them as part of their normal meds. You can’t legally buy them over the counter, so you have to go to a pharmacy, fill the prescription, and get them refilled. So, if you do take them you have to take the time to get them refilled and this can be a lot of hassle.
So when I was reading the article that I linked to in my last post, I was reminded of the story of a guy who was prescribed these pills. He was a pretty high-functioning guy and he was supposed to be taking these pills every day. He just took one pill every day to have a hangover. He didn’t take them because he was so worried they were going to cause him to fall asleep and die.
I remember thinking in my head how this was a stupid prescription for a guy who had no idea of what he was doing. Then I remembered reading the story of the guy who took some pills and they were like the key to his house. If he could just get them refilled, he would be able to leave the house and not have to pay the house or the car insurance.
“The point of the story is, you take one pill every day to have a great hangover.
As it turns out, that is exactly what this guy would have to do. He would have to be vigilant for a whole year to refill the pills and not lose his house or car insurance.
